The ACCIS Scientific Committee held a meeting in June 2015 at IARC, Lyon. During this meeting and the subsequent teleconferences, all datasets received in response to the Call for data in 2011 and the updated call in 2013 were evaluated. The feedback communicated to the individual cancer registries helped to improve the quality and comparability of the datasets. The final round of evaluation in December 2017 provided the basis for the content of the current ACCIS database.

The ACCIS project was approved by the IARC Ethics Committee on 17 June 2015.
